'Shi/ Silver Purity' shows an austere winter landscape veiled by persistent snow and steeped in a wintery stillness. The pure white of winter predominates, but this design provides us with an excellent reminder that white is not a constant but rather a continually changing spectrum of hues that can vary according to environment, location, perspective, and the refraction of light. Here, the use of different stitch-resist and tie-dye techniques affects the softness or harshness of how the colour is perceived.
